Sometimes you would encounter the iPhone glitch iMessage Waiting for Activation. FaceTime and iMessage are apps which we use to frequently to not fix. But all good things come with their fair share of glitches. When you activate iMessage on your iPhone 6, you might get a message that says “Waiting for Activation” or “Activation Unsuccessful”. Whatever the case, there is a solution for your problem.

How to fix iMessage Waiting for Activation Error on iPhone

First and foremost, check whether or not you have a stable connection to the internet, cellular data or WiFi, either will do. To activate iMessage you will need your phone number so you will be charged as per SMS for activation. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Next go to “Settings” and tap “General. Under General, find “Date & Time”. Make sure you have chosen the correct time zone, the current date on your iPhone and enough storage for iMessage. If you don’t have enough storage on your iPhone 6, delete some apps or photos.

Also, make sure that under the Phone app, your phone number is listed. No idea what we are talking about? Worry not, we’ll explain. Under the Contacts app, you should see your number on the top. If not, then follow this path: Settings> Phone> My Number and then enter your phone number. See, no rocket science!

First thing to do is to contact your carrier to make sure their service support iMessage in the first place. Ask them if they have any limitations for iMessage, blocks, filters and text messages.
