Yahoo Adds iPad Email Interface and Google Updates Gmail

Yahoo Mail has been optimized for the iPad and it’s now available by going to mail.yahoo.com from Apple’s Safari Web browser.

Yahoo Mail on the iPad retains all it’s features but is now a faster, more organized, and feature-rich web interface that is designed for the iPad.

Yahoo Mail has a dual-pane view that allows users to preview emails or they can be viewed in there full form.



Google has also recently updated Gmail interface for the iPad.

Gmail was optimized for the iPad several months ago but on Wednesday a new “stacked cards” interface was implemented. Now, thanks to the use of CSS3 transitions and transforms, Gmail’s iPad Web interface more closely resembles that of Apple’s Mail app.

Yahoo and Google have done a nice job designing email web interfaces that work great on the iPad. I can’t say either are better than Apple’s Mail app but it’s nice to have these companies recognizing iPad users.
