Will the iPad Out Sell the Iphone?

We are only a couple of weeks away from what will be Apples biggest product launch since the Iphone. According to the WSJ, there will be more Ipads sold in the first 3 months then when the Iphone debuted in 2007.

The Ipads that ship on April 3rd will be the wifi models only. The 3g models will ship later in April. AT&T is the exclusive carrier for the data plan. There will be 2 plans available 14.99 gets you 250MB of data and there is an unlimited plan for 29.99 with no contract required.

It would have been nice if AT&T was not the exclusive carrier but I don’t expect it to have the same negative impact as with the Iphone. Most users will get by with the wifi model or the 14.99 plan and at some point AT&T will probably allow tethering with the iphone.
