Verizon Stores Will Start Selling iPads

Verizon Wireless announced Thursday that it will begin selling Apple’s iPad at over 2000 retail stores on Oct. 28. Verizon stores will be selling Wi-Fi models that can be bundled with Verizon’s MiFi mobile hotspot modem. They will not be carrying 3G models that run on the Verizon network.
Instead, they will offer three bundles, all featuring an iPad Wi-Fi model and a Verizon MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot, for a suggested retail price of $629.99 for iPad Wi-Fi 16GB + MiFi, $729.99 for iPad Wi-Fi 32GB + MiFi and $829.99 for iPad Wi-Fi 64GB + MiFi.
Verizon Wireless will also offer all three iPad Wi-Fi models on a stand-alone basis.
More info about the Verizon bundles can be found here.
The announcement will add fuel to the rumors that Apple is preparing to sell the iPhone through Verizon, early next year. It does indicate there is a Apple and Verizon relationship of some sort.
AT&T also announced it would begin selling the iPad at its 2200 retail stores on October 28, adding to the number of retailers who have announced sales of the device.
Apple has added several retailers over the last few weeks including, Target, Walmart, Sams Club, AT&T stores and now Verizon stores.
