Smokescreen Brings Flash to the iPad

A mobile technology company called Smokescreen has come up with a way to put Flash on the iPad and iPhone.

Smokescreen is a new open-source JavaScript project that is essentially a Flash player written in JavaScript. Right now, it is only working on ads with basic animations. It’s slower than the Flash plugin and is limited by the performance of the browser but it does work.

The team behind the project plans to improve performance in the future. The possibilities for this could extend beyond advertising.
