Apple’s iPad Goes Global

Today, Apple has started selling the iPad in nine more countries including Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Longs line are being reported all over Europe, Asia and Canada. The demand seems to be especially strong in Japan .There was an estimated 1,200 people in line, at Apples flagship store Ginza in Tokyo.
The international rollout will continue in July with iPads planned to be released in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore.
Apple has not been able to keep up with the demand, they had to delay this launch to have a large enough number of iPads for a decent launch.
The supply issue will likely go on until next year if this high level of iPad enthusiasm continues.
