iPad Mini Retina Finally Available in Apple Stores

Until this week you could only purchase the iPad Mini Retina online. Now, as of Tuesday, it is finally available for direct purchase at Apple stores. Not all models are in currently in the stores, but there are several Wi-Fi and cellular versions in stock.
The new mini iPad was released on November 12th, with a severe shortage of physical units. If users wanted one, they could only acquire it by ordering it online, and then they had to wait for it to be delivered. Apple’s website still show 5-10 business days to ship. This means that almost anyone that wanted to be the first to have it and ordered on the 12th might only have it a few days before those who just walk into the stores.
Apple is finally starting to catch up on their backorders, however many carriers such as Verizon and AT&T are still showing them as back ordered.
The new iPad mini has 326 pixels per inch, which is one of the highest resolution tablets to date. Analysts believe that this display is what has made it so difficult for Apple to produce the unit in sufficient quantities to meet demand.
I\’m thinking that the odds are pretty slim that this will be one of the units Apple plans to put on sale during Black Friday.
