iPad 3G Models

Apple announced today the iPad 3G will start shipping to customers on Friday, April 30th and will be available at Apple Store retail locations the same day. Apple did not say in the announcement if the 3G model will be available at Best Buy on April 30th.

The announcement ends the mystery surrounding when the 3G + Wi-Fi version of the iPad becomes available to customers. This also allows Apple to keep their commitment to their customers because they have been stating the 3G model will ship by the end of April.

Also, earlier this week Apple made a change on the Apple website showing the 3G models shipping on May 7th if they were pre-ordered after April 18th.
