iPad 2 Event Expected Wednesday, March 2

According Kara Swisher with All Things Digital, Apple is planning an event to unveil the second generation iPad on March 2nd.

Kara covers digital issues for The Wall Street Journal which tends to be a very reliable source especially when it concerns Apple.

The iPad 2 will likely ship in late March or early April, and will feature a thinner design, better speakers, FaceTime capabilities, as well as a faster dual-core A5 CPU and double ram.

Apple was expected to update Macbook pros this week but they will likely be released at the event as well.
