iBooks App Will Be Updated Soon

There was not a lot of new details about the iPad at the WWDC, not that much about the iPad was expected. The WWDC was all about the iPhone 4 and iOS 4.

Steve Jobs did mention that there are now over 8500 iPad apps and the 8500 apps have been downloaded over 35 million times. That’s about 17 apps per iPad user.

Steve also mentioned that the iBooks app will be updated. iPad users will read PDFs from the iBooks app, create highlights, take notes and a new bookmarks feature will be added. The update will be out later this month.

In the meantime, you can covert PDFs to ePub and view them in iBooks. There are also several other formats that can be converted to ePub. Click or tap here for more details.
