Gameloft Has Sold 20 Million iOS Games

Gameloft, one of the top game developers for iOS, reported today that it has sold more than 20 million paid games on Apple’s App Store since the service’s launch in June 2008.
Out of 47 iPhone and iPad games that Gameloft launched since the beginning of 2010, 42 of those titles made it to the top five best-selling games on the App Store’s top-grossing apps chart. Twenty-five of those games reached number one this year.
In total, Gameloft said it has developed and published 100 games for Apple devices since the App Store’s launch. The company plans on releasing 15 other titles onto the App Store by the end of the year.
For the first six months of 2010, the company reported sales of $84.34 million, up from $76.25 million in the first half of 2009. Revenue for the App Store specifically rose 82 percent during the period.
