The newest version of the iOS7 will be available on the 18th of September, only in 8 days. That came together with the news that Apple is predicting to ship its 700 millionth iOS device by October. That is 700 million devices in 7 years, quite a feat.

What’s new?

Starting with the Lock Screen, iOS7 will allow you to access the command and notification centers by swiping up from the bottom and down from the top, respectively. You can search from any panel by just pulling down on the home screen. Siri has added functionality; now you can choose which voice you would like to hear as well as access your favorite social media outlets right from Siri. You get new ringtones in iOS7 too! Lots of techno ringtones have been added to the operating system. You will now be able to group your photos by time and location for a larger, group photo section capability. You can even group photos by an entire calendar year. iTunes radio is going to be the “best way to experience new music” according to Apple.

iOS7 will be free for the iPhone 4 and up, iPad 2 and up, iPad mini, and the 5th-gen iPod touch. Also, iWork is now going to be free on all new iOS devices! This includes Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iMovie, and iPhoto. Unfortunately, this only applies to a new iOS device running iOS7.
