Apple Extends Song Previews to 90-Seconds in iTunes

Apple has been notifying top music labels and other business partners in the music industry that they are extending the length of song previews in iTunes from 30 seconds to 90 seconds.

Most people were expecting the length to increase to one minute but 90 seconds is even better. The longer song samples should make customers happy and could increase song downloads, which would certainly please the music industry.

The longer samples will apply to songs greater than 2.5 minutes in length.

Apple has not stated when the change will go into effect.
