Apple finally allows you to do some navigating in the App Store, the iTunes app and the iBookstore by simply swiping your finger on your iPad’s screen. It is a subtle change but it is a nice improvement because it provides a more natural way to browse for apps, music and books on your touch screen device.

The arrows have disappeared and they are replaced by small round circles to identity what page you are on. The new swiping functionality can be found all over the App Store. You will find it in the “New and Noteworthy” section, “What’s Hot” section “Release Date” section and while browsing Categories (after selecting a category.)

The iTunes app also allows users to browse with the swiping gesture and just like the App Store it is incorporated throughout the app. You will find it in Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, Audiobooks and iTunes U.

Apple did not leave the iBookstore out either. Similar to the App Store you can use the new gesture for navigating pages in the “Featured” area and while browsing by Category or Release Date.

Again, it is a small change but a more natural way of browsing while using these apps.
