Apple Celebrates 30 Years

To celebrate the birthday of Macintosh Apple decided to skip the pricey over produced Superbowl ads and invest in themselves. They produced a mini movie instead that is composed entirely of footage shot from their own products.
Mac officially turned 30 on January 24th, and on that day representatives from Apple when out in 10 different countries on five continents to film. All filming was done over a 36-hour period using only iPhones then the clips were compiled and edited with Macs.
“Thirty years ago Macintosh promised to put technology in the hands of the people. To celebrate Mac’s birthday, this film was shot around the world in one day, entirely on iPhone. Here’s to the next thirty.”
That is the opening statement, then Apple goes on to show the world how they have upheld that promise by showing their products in use in a variety of situations. Apple products are used by everyone from Archeologists to students, in industrial applications and artistic.
Apple has come a long way from the original all in-one-box that I remember starting with. It was a big thing back then, because they were user friendly and led the way for easy to use systems that were accessible to the public. Apple continues on the same path today as they continue to improve themselves and our lives.
You’ve come a long way, Apple
