Airline to Start Renting iPad’s

The Australian JetStar airline plans to offer its passengers the chance to rent an iPad for the duration of the flight for the price of $10.
The iPads will come pre-loaded with a selection of books, films, TV shows, music, and games all designed to keep you entertained during the flight. Internet browsing will be disabled in keeping with the airline’s policy on use of mobile phones and computers.
The two week trial will start later this month on domestic flights longer than an hour. Thirty units would be on each test aircraft.
It’s a interesting idea that could catch on. It should be profitable for JetStar, while at the same time it gives Apple a chance to put the product in the hands of potential buyers.
