The Quora app for iPhone and iPod Touch

// October 9, 2011

The much talked about social answer and question website, Quora, has launched an app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Users of the website had been asking for an app that would let them use the services of the website on their i-devices via an app. The Quora service was the outcome of work done by two Facebook engineers named Adam D’Angelo and Charlie Cheever.

The app has an interesting location based search feature that checks for happenings near your location. The response times for searches made via this app are incredible. It is one of the most polished iDevice app ever with no bugs and errors to report. The user interface is pretty nice with most of the websites feature present in the app unlike other apps that sacrifice functionality for making their apps portable. Search from the already given answers or write a new question and post it on the app. There is a notifications area where you can get notified about any answers related to your questions and other follower announcements. There is also a shuffle option which generates random searches and their answers for users who like to kill time.

The makers of this great app are still mum about whether this app will make its way onto tablets or other operating systems.

This app is available for free on the iTunes store with no pesky advertisements.
