Apple officially announces iPhone event on October 4th

It’s official, Apple is now sending out press invites for an October 4th iPhone event, according to The Loop. As rumored, it will take place at Apple’s California headquarters.
Apple on Tuesday officially announced its iPhone 5 launch event. According to the invitation received by The Loop, the event will be held on October 4 at Apple’s Cupertino, Calif. campus. The event will begin at 10:00 am PT.
Apple is expected to announce its next generation iPhone at the event.
The invitation has four app icons and says “Let’s talk iPhone.” The calendars icon shows the date of the event and the clock icon shows the time the event will start. The map icon shows interstate 280, which runs right by Apple’s headquarters, where the event will be held. The Phone icon indication what the event is about. Could the 1 indicate there will only be one iPhone announced?
The launch date of the device is expected to be in near the middle of October. Apple is rumored to be blocking employees from taking vacation during the second week of October.
