Geohot has released a new jailbreak for all iOS devices, called limerai1n. George Hotz (aka Geohot) is credited with the first iPhone jailbreak and the blackra1n jailbreak.
Unlike blackra1n, this new jailbreak isn’t single-click solution. Currently, limera1n only works with Windows but Mac and Linux versions should be released soon.
Limera1n is a untethered jailbreak that works with;
- iPad
- iPhone 3GS
- iPod Touch 3G
- iPhone 4
- iPod touch 4G
- technically works with the new Apple TV but there are no apps, yet
