How to jailbreak iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3 and iPhone 4

JailbreakMe 3.0 is now live and will jailbreak the following iDevices;

• iPad: iOS 4.3.3
• iPad : iOS 4.3.3
• iPhone3GS: iOS 4.3 through 4.3.3
• iPhone4: iOS 4.3 through 4.3.3
• iPhone4-CDMA: iOS 4.2.6 through 4.2.8
• iPod touch 3g: iOS 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3
• iPod touch 4g: iOS 4.3 through 4.3.3

If you have an older version of iOS, currently you can update your iOS software in iTunes to 4.3.3. Apple is subject to release iOS 4.3.4 and patch this PDF exploit. Make sure you do not update your software past 4.3.3 or this jailbreak will not work.

As with JailbreakMe 1 and 2, it’s the fastest, simplest jailbreak possible. It takes literally less than one minute to jailbreak your iDevice.

However, it is a good idea to back up and sync your iDevice incase anything goes wrong. That will allow you to restore, if needed, without losing any content that has not been synced back to iTunes.

It’s also a good idea to save your SHSH blobs before you proceed. Saving your SHSH Blobs can be done with Tiny Umbrella or iFaith. This is helpful incase you ever mistakenly update iOS software past a jailbreakable version. If your SHSH Blobs have been saved you should be able to downgrade your iOS software back to a jailbreakable version.

When you are ready to jailbreak your device all you need to do is open Safari and go to jailbreakme.com on your compatible iOS device. You will see the Cydia app icon, tap “Free”, then “Install.”

After taping install, you should see Cydia loading, just like an app from the App Store.

After Cydia has finished installing, open Cydia and taper “User.”

One of the first things you should install in Cydia is PDF Patcher 2. Just search for it in Cydia and you should find it.
