Absinthe released for Windows and Mac version gets an update

The Chronic Dev Team has released the Windows version of their jailbreak tool Absinthe. The jailbreak is compatible with an iPad 2 and iPhone 4S with iOS 5 or iOS 5.0.1. We have a tutorial posted here.

They have also released an updated version of Absinthe for Mac with has several bug fixes that tries to resolve the issues people are experiencing while performing the jailbreak. That includes the VPN error that causes the message “Cannot Open Absinthe, Absinthe could not open the page because the server stopped responding.” The new version also tries to resolve a problem that causes some icons to appear white.

If you have already jailbroken your device and do not have any issues there’s no point in downloading the new version and re-jailbraking your device.
