How to Downgrade iOS 9.3 on iPad or iPhone 6

Apple has recently updated iPhones and iPads. The latest version iOS 9.2 is available to all owners of compatible iPhone 6 and iPad Air models. Apple wants to keep your device updated, but you may want to switch back to an older operating system. Even if the latest version is said to come with performance optimizations, most users experience bugs(No Wifi on iPad) and lags after updating to iOS 9.2, especially iPad users. There is no need to worry. This article will teach you step by step instruction on go back to your previous iOS version 8.0. It is easy to follow. This also work for iOS 9.3

Removing the latest version of iOS 9.3, follow these step by step guide to go back to iOS 8.0:

Step 1: Back up all your data. iOS will wipe all data and apps on your device except those apps which cannot be deleted such as wallet and stocks. Back up now as the procedure will wipe your device clean.

iOS 9 backups is not compatible with iOS 8 so you won’t be able to restore this back up to your device, so use archive back up. If you have not archived iOS 8.4.1. back up, use iCloud to back up iOS 9 to prevent overwriting.

Step 2: Download iOS 8.4.1 ISPW file. To downgrade your device to iOS 8, you need to download iOS 8.4.1 IPSW file on your Mac or PC using iTunes.

If it is already stored on your PC, you can easily find it by youruserfolder/Library/iTunes then within a folder named iPad Software Updates.

Step 3: Turn your device off. Hold the power button to turn your device off.

Step 4: Connect your iPad to your PC or Mac. After connecting your iPad, start holding the power and home button at the same time for 10 seconds. Release the power button but do not release home button for at least 3 seconds.

Step 5: Select Summary. From the iTunes interface, click on your device and select Summary.

Step 6: Press Restore button. While pressing down Shift (on PC) or Option (on Mac) key, click on Restore button.

Step 7: Look for iOS 8.4.1 IPSW.  When the file browser opens, navigate to iOS 8.4.1 IPSW file you have downloaded and click Open. iTunes will start reinstalling iOS on your device.

Step 8: Follow set-up instructions. After the setup is complete, your iPad will go to the new setup screen which is the same as a new device. Then simply follow the instructions to set up your device.
