For any reason, many users have experienced problems in downloading apps and updating their existing apps from Appstore after updating their operating system. After choosing an app and pressing Get or download button, it starts to load but then goes back to Get or download.
Many claims that they can’t purchase app and error messages keep on appearing.
How to Solve This Issue?
There are ways to fix this problem of unable to update existing app and install or purchase new apps. Before doing any of this, make sure that you back up your iOS device on iTunes.
First solution: Reset your iOS device to its factory settings.
Step 1: Connect your iOS device to iTunes through your MAC or PC. Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.
Step 2: From iTunes, click on your device and look for Summary. Click on Restore button.
Step 3: Click Restore again to confirm. This will restore your device to factory settings. Take note that it will delete all your data and contents. iTunes will then download the iOS software file and will restore your device.
Step 4: After restoring your device, Slide to Setup will appear on your device’s screen. Just follow the instructions on the screen to continue setting it up.
Step 5: Because you backed up your data, you can now restore it using iTunes. Now try if this solution worked. Go to Appstore and try updating existing apps, or simply download a new app.
Second Solution: Reset All Settings.
Step 1: Go to Settings App and choose General.
Step 2: From General, choose Reset. Select Reset All Settings.
Step 3: Tap on Reset All Settings button. If asked for password, just enter then tap Reset All Settings again to confirm.
Step 4: Your iPhone or device will start to reboot.
Step 5: Add your WiFi network again to your wifi settings. Enter password if asked. Now try to purchase, download or update apps from Appstore.
Third Solution: Connect Your Device To iTunes
Just simply connect your device with USB cable to your PC or MAC, then download and update your apps using iTunes. This is troublesome but works for many.
Fourth Solution: Hard Reset
Many users claim that this solution also worked well for them. Just simply press and hold home and sleep button for about 10 seconds until the app logo appears. This will immediately reset your device. When your device is already on, try updating your apps again.
