Apple is accepting orders for unlocked iPhone 4S in the US

Apple has promised that an unlocked iPhone 4S would be available in the US in November and they are now taking orders for the unlocked iPhone 4S. The phones ship in one to two weeks with estimated arrival form November 28th – December 5th. Currently the unlocked iPhone 4S must be shipped and cannot be ordered online and then picked up in an Apple retail store.
At the present, all three storage capacities are available in white and black.
The factory unlocked iPhones enables users to place a carrier’s micro-SIM card in to use the iPhone on any GSM network in the world. The unlocked iPhones will not work on CDMA networks, including Sprint and Verizon in the USA.
The contract free phones are priced at $649 for the 16 GB version, $749 for the 32 GB version, and $849 for the 64 GB.
It’s also worth noting that the iPhone’s warranty is limited to the country you purchased it in. That means that you won’t be covered under warranty in other countries if you originally purchased it from the United States.
About the Unlocked iPhone
The unlocked iPhone includes all the features of iPhone but without a contract commitment. You can activate and use it on the supported GSM wireless network of your choice, such as AT&T in the United States.* The unlocked iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S will not work with CDMA-based carriers such as Verizon Wireless or Sprint.
If you don’t want a multiyear service contract or if you prefer to use a local carrier when traveling abroad, the unlocked iPhone is the best choice. It arrives without a micro-SIM card, so you’ll need an active micro-SIM card from any supported GSM carrier worldwide. To start using it, simply insert the micro-SIM card into the slot on your iPhone and turn it on by pressing and holding the On/Off button for a few seconds. Then follow the onscreen instructions to set up your iPhone.
