The AirDrop is a feature of iOS which works with WiFi and Bluetooth. When you use Airdrop, you need to turn Bluetooth on. This allows the users to easily send photos, contacts, files and other data between iPads, iPhones, Macs and iPod touch.

Many users have complained that AirDrop does not show up or disappear, which hinders the feature from working to share files. The Airdrop not showing up in Control Center is one of the most common problems in iOS, but it is easy to fix. No need to worry, you are not alone in this problem.

How to Fix AirDrop Not Showing Up in Control Center

Without Airdrop, you lose wireless file sharing options for your devices. Before you proceed, make sure that you are using the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings App, choose General, and tap on Software Update. These updates are commonly to fixing bugs and to improve optimizations.

Step 1: From Home Screen, go to Settings App of your device.

Step 2: Choose General.

Step 3: Scroll down the screen and tap on Restriction.

Step 4: Disable Airdrop restriction.

After doing this, your Airdrop will appear in Control Center. If it does not work, then you need to reboot your device.

Step 1: Go to Settings app and select General.

Step 2: In General, select Accessibility.

Step 3: Tap on Assistive Touch Option and turn it on.

Step 6: Press on the button that appeared on your screen and choose Device.

Step 7: Tap and hold Lock Screen until you see Slide to Power Off.

When it’s done, just turn your device on and check if Airdrop already appeared.

AirDrop Not Working on iOS 9

AirDrop works with Bluetooth and WiFi.

Step 1: Make sure that your Bluetooth is on. Go to Settings App, select Bluetooth and switch it on. It has to be green.

Step 2: Turn on WiFi. From Settings, go to WiFi and switch it on.

Step 3: Turn on AirDrop. Make sure that you enabled AirDrop on your device as well as the recipient iOS device. Go to your home screen and swipe up from the bottom. Tap on AirDrop. You can choose between Contacts Only or Everyone.

If this solution does not work, then try to force restart your device. To do this, just press and hold Power button and Home button at the same time for around 10 seconds until the logo of Apple appears. It will restart immediately. Turn your device on and check if AirDrop is now working.
