SlideWriter is now available for iPad

A new text editor app for iPad called SlideWriter has made its way to the AppStore. The text editor is based on a keyboard concept that makes typing easier on the iPad.
The big advantage with the app comes when you need to move the cursor or select text. The app enables users to slide their finger across the keyboard to move the cursor and double tap on the keyboard to select text. This keyboard trick only works within the SlideWriter app and the app is not compatible with other iOS devices.
We’ve been using a jailbreak tweak called SwipeSelection that uses the same method to move the cursor and it does so seamlessly with all apps on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The tweak is a big improvement compared to the way you currently move the cursor on iOS devices. However, SwipeSelection is only available on jailbroken devices.
The new SlideWriter app has been approved by Apple and is available in the AppStore for $0.99.
