Groupon now available for iPad

The very popular deal service, Groupon, has released a free application for the iPad.

For those who haven’t tried Groupon, it’s a deal-of-the-day website that is localized to major geographic markets worldwide. The company typically offers one “Groupon” (“group coupon”) per day in each of the city it serves. Groupons normally offer a 50% discount but they can go as has as 90% off. They are purchased online then redeemed at the local business resulting in hugh savings for Groupon subscribers.
