GarageBand: The Most Authentic Music Making Experience on iPad

These days there is absolutely no shortage of apps and games available on the App Store. But for a musician, what is the best app out there for download? As someone who likes to tinker with making music as a hobby, I would have to say that I’ve found the answer in GarageBand.
Created by Apple in 2002 initially for Mac computers, the program is now available for download on iOS devices including the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It’s difficult to describe the versatility and beauty of this app.
For just $4.99, you purchase for yourself a slew of applications within the application itself. Whether your goal is to record yourself singing your favourite tune and then fine-tuning the result afterwards, putting together an entire symphony for a solo recording, or just to have a good time making some good old music with friends, GarageBand can help you accomplish this in a professional and straightforward fashion.
My favourite instrument within GarageBand is definitely the keyboard as it offers almost 100 choices to pick from; essentially allowing you to create myriad types of sounds and choruses to your ear’s delight. You can even choose to use two keyboards simultaneously if this is what you require to create the song that you are composing.
Apart from the keyboard, there is also a drum set, guitar amp, audio recorder, sampler, smart drums, smart strings, smart bass, smart keyboard, and smart guitar to tinker with. Overall, there is no chance of ever getting board with this genius app. It is a must have for any self respecting musician (professional or wannabe) who owns an iPad. There’s no limit to what you can do with it and the best part is that it leaves room for error.
