Disney creates an interactive experience for children

Disney is giving young children a way to entertained by combining toy cars with an iPad app. The company’s new AppMates toys are small toy Car 2 characters with unique sensors that detect each character. The on screen characters react to each of the physical toys in different ways.
The Cars toys are designed to be safely driven across the top of an iPad, interacting with the free Cars 2 Appmates app, which lets kids explore, race, take on missions and customize their AppMates toys.
The app is available for free to download at the App Store, and the toy cars will cost $19.99 for a two-pack with four different Car 2 characters available. The toys will go on sale in October through Disney and Apple Stores and various retailers. If you haven’t purchased the toy cars, you can still download the free app and take a test drive.
Of course, you may need to keep a close eye on a child aged four to nine with your tablet.
