CBS launches app to stream full episodes to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch

CBS launched a new app today that streams full episodes of primetime, daytime and late night shows to your iOS device(s). The free app allows users to catch up on popular shows such as, NCIS, The Late Show With David Letterman, How I Met Your Mother, The Good Wife, and many more. There are full episodes available for over two dozen CBS shows.
Below is a list of all of the shows available with the app.
Daytime and late night shows will be available 24 hours after the show airs, while most primetime shows will be available eight days after they’re broadcasted on CBS. The app is ad supported, but it provides an excellent way for viewers to watch CBS shows on their iPads.
The CEO of CBS Leslie Moonves said the company had been cautious to step forward onto mobile devices while protecting its home turf.
“We have been methodically and strategically finding new ways to satiate the appetite for our content on new platforms, while tapping into the tremendous revenue provided by doing so,” said Moonves. “Our announcement today achieves both of these objectives, while protecting our very healthy current ecosystem. In addition, by making our shows available on all the leading mobile devices out there, we are confident we will bring a whole new set of viewers to the CBS Television Network and build upon our standing as the #1 network in the business.”
The app also includes additional features such as, personalized show lists, live social feeds, photo galleries and show schedules.
