If you have been downloading a lot of the free iBooks, you have probably noticed some boring Book covers. Those covers are easy to change.

If you’ve ever added custom album artwork to an iTunes song, this will be very familiar. If you haven’t, here are the steps:

  1. In your iTunes library, select the Books category in the source list.
  2. Select any book that shows it has no cover, right click on it, and select “Get Info.”
  3. Select the “Artwork” tab.
  4. Drag and drop any image into the box or click add to select the image and click Okay. There you go. You’ve just added a custom cover to your iBook.

You can do a image search from Google or whatever search engine you use. Amazon is also a good choice but keep in mind these are most likely copyrighted, and their aspect ratio will probably not match the default aspect ratio of the book covers from the iBookstore.

Keep in mind you can add any image for your book cover and modify it with your image editing software. You can add text over the image for the book title, etc. The image will need to be about 420×600 and save your image as a high quality JPEG file. Add the cover in iTunes with the steps mentioned earlier and your done.

working in After Effects. In addition to 2d animation, After Effects allows motion in 3d. All of the photos in the animation were found off of google image search. After collecting the source images, I went into Photoshop and created transparent Funk Proibidãomasks for each image. After importing the images, I animated the photos in 3d to create the illusion.
